What android version for your smartphones

I have the black new smartphone from China and the silver lg urbane! Becoming my new obsession as well lol. I also have both steel connects and 12 bands for my new smartphones.  Mine is black with a light wood Slickwraps skin on the back. Aside from the battery's poor performance I'm still happy with it. All my gadgets are black. Beats Headphones, Moto 360, Nexus 5, Computer.

I kept mine for 2 months until I went back to my Nexus 5.  It had nothing to do with the hardware, more with regards to updates, fights between OnePlus and CM, customer service and support.  But mostly I'm used to being on a Nexus and getting the latest updates right away.  It was almost 5 months after Lollipop was released before OnePlus even got Lollipop and even then it was only the 5.0.2 version.  I sold mine well before Lollipop was even released for the device.  Missed having it on my Nexus 5.  From there updated to the Nexus 6 and couldn't be happier.

Mobile Cell Standby, Optimisation of apps ( rebooting while charging ), Battery Life Issues are the reasons why I'm going to stick to KitKat for a bit longer. some issues with the mobile radio. It continues to drain battery for hours even if I put on battery saver. Overall, in my opinion I have seen some improvement.  80% for Lollipop ... Guess I'm going to update to 5.1 I had the same issue but luckily I was in warranty period so they gave me a new piece...

stock recovery to take any ota. can pay $175 to have send you a totally new one and then you send yours back in all the Best price Chinese phone in the link. I don't think you'd have to flash stock 4.4.4, but I may be wrong. If you can get the stock recovery back and get rid of whatever other recovery you have, it could work. Installed TWRP recovery, downloaded a decent looking CM12 based ROM and gapps, and went into recovery to wipe and install the new ROM and gapps. Seemed much easier than dealing with ADB

A similar thing happened to me when I tried rooting 5.1. I just did a hard reset. You could have probably just flashed the stock image from their website. The good news is that cm is a good rom. You can also try the nexus experience rom which has many features of the stock rom except and voice...

I was not getting 4G signal. When I asked airtel about this issue they said me that 4G is compatible for xiaomi mi4 but since airtel does not have partnership with Xiaomi like apple LG and Samsung, 4G will not be available for any Xiaomi and Xiaomi Redmi phones. wifi at my work makes me sign in EVERY time and I have to go the end around through Chrome to connect to it.  Totally annoying.

I'm not sure if this will work, but for the 4g data issue go to APN in cellular settings. Change the APN Protocol and APN Roaming Protocol from IPv4 to IPv4/IPv6. You might see data work again. This worked for me, although I'm running the OTA update for 5.1.  we would want a nearly perfect Update without any major bugs. Just hoping that Xiaomi MIUI 6 fixes everything and releases the final version soon.

Supposed to bring hd calling, one of the bigger things I wanted for and upgrade. They said soon for the x2 so I took it. And waiting as usual. that 2 second lag when exiting an app back to home screen was awful, not much else exciting though.

Update new image on My Smartphones Samsung and Moto

First thing I do when I get a new phone or flash a new rom us go into account settings and check off the apps that I don't use i.e. slides, I never even got the update yet. Apparently I still need to wait for Verizon to push it to me. there's been a confirmed soak going on for the Retail channel in the US (unlocked). No word yet on any carrier models. They should follow if the retail soak goes OK.

Qualcomm's WiFi display. It allows you to mirror your devices display on a TV. But it could be used for another purpose by the system.  i thought the same thing but the phones has slacked off since the purchase by lenovo. The old xiamimi mi3 would have updated both the MIUI 5 by now to MIUI 6 At this point it's a wait and see stance to see if their still the old XIAOMI we have come to love.

I bought the unlocked version directly from  Updated just a couple weeks after I got it in 2014,  Carriers wait too long to update and load their on it.  the fortunate group of users here in Germany to also get 5.1. Performed a Factory Reset right after the update and the phone runs great with it!

5.1 is great and it makes the phone smoother and adds great features like chop twice for flashlight. I'm looking forward to what 5.1.1 will bring and can't wait for Android M on this phone. Just imagine, more features including ones that currently require root like being able to control app permissions and better battery life.

My phone becomes very sluggish after 3 days, so I reboot every 2-3 days. Google acknowledged the bug and fixed it in the 5.1.1 micro update.

1) install Phones Device Manager
2) install RSD lite
3) download original kit kat image for your specific device model
4) reboot your phone into bootloader
5) start RSD, choose original image, install it

I was wondering the best app to monitor/save battery life. I am not rooted and I am not intending to. download the Watchmaker Live Wallpaper from Play Store. Then download the Watchface from this post. Long press on your home screen to change Wallpaper and select Watchmaker within the live wallpapers. It will open settings to select your background and face.

Retest the battery usage again due to inaccurate data the last time I did. Fenix was having a wake lock problem.  MX4 that runs this and huge amount of bloatware on top of android. Because of that the mx4 ends up being slower than the 1st MX4. The MX performance in real life it´s between a GS4 and a MX4 PRO. Just don´t compare it to the mx4. There is no comparison.

know the G2 as a great battery, however MEUZI MX4 is a smaller device and Amoled tend to suck more battery than LCD with whites and other colors, even at 720P. The only advantage is with blacks. I saw my mx4 several times, braking the 5 hours SOT. The new xiaomi mi note on Nextbuying xiaomi redmi note dual sim quad core Qualcomm 410 processor with light use can go to 6+ hours. That doesnt make the Xiaomi mi3 bad in battery life. 16gb for me are enough, however some people will need 32gb.

runs a 720P screen with a good Adreno 320 like the one on the MI3. The CPU it´s the same Krait 300 as the GS4, but only with 2 cores and 1.73Ghz instead of 1.89Ghz . The reason why the first gen MX is so snappy and fluid is because, very few apps use more than 2 cores. The majority uses only one core. It´s good to have 4 cores, but only in some rare app situations, you will need more than 2 cores. On the day to day basis 2 good Krait 300 CPU cores are sufficient and good performers. Better than having 4 weaker CPU cores like for  4 Cortex A7´s or 4 Cortex A53

I've un installed Google fit as it was keeping my phone awake a lot. Problem continues though, can't flash images without the bootloader unlocked

Play Services on smartphones

Play Services are complete shit since L release. Google apps are crashing more, than any others. In fact, Google apps are the only apps, that are crashing on my phone.  both of these devices have older processors. Nextbuying's mistake. I think that they won't releas repeat it again in xiaomi mi note pro 2015, but I don't care anymore about new lenovo and moto products.

Even if they fixed majority of bugs in L, this still doesn't save us from bugs and drains in Play Services.  need to go back to stock recovery and stock system to receive an OTA. I am not sure if you will receive a brazilian OTA or not.

just started the soak on those 2 phones. The fact that they finished beta testing (test drive) and started soak on the 4x honor means that it will be released. The soak is a release candidate. If they were going to drop it, it wouldn't have graduated to soak, it would have been dropped while in beta testing or before beta testing even started.

updating certain apps for lollipop. So long as you are running KitKat there's going to be issues. They're trying to fix what's not compatible with the pop with some smaller updates. fix update this week did not cause either of these issues for my device.  I've been dealing with them for at least 2 weeks, maybe longer.  If anything, Maps app crash is due to that app update recently, or another 3rd party app update.  The gallery has done that occasionally since I've ever had it running.  I'm not sweating it.

I expect hiccups, especially if/when L gets dropped on me. I just wanted to post images of the ridiculousness that was being displayed on my screen this morning within a short time frame today. I bought 1 Gen for my sister. Also, I don't want to own product from company that can't provide support for their flagship even for 2 years.

HTC only has one flagship every year. You could argue that Samsung has 2 flagships in the phone arena, the note and the S series device.  Because I'll know what brand to choose next time I'll need a new smartphone.

Nexus doesn't have anything special apart fast updates, iPhone is locked down with what you can or can't do and now Huawei is being really bad at updates. China phones aren't ready yet to conquer USA/European market.

other flagships it showed that there's no need to have an extremely expensive device to have a great experience. As for the update I'm not defending lenovo vibe series, I know they have taking way longer than it probably should have, all I'm saying is that constantly complaining about the lack of lollipop isn't going to change a thing .

I was actually on vacation and out of touch for 8 days, so I just thought I must have missed something!  I was having similar performance troubles, and thought I'd give rooting/Cyanogenmod a try on the xiaomi and other china phone ulefone be touch on this link  No go.  The 4.4.4 rom is, according tot he community, unrootable.  Unless you have the developer edition of course.

surfaced on KitKat for me only after lollipop had started running out. I think it is a bug in an upgraded common component Google play services
